The jewel is made of Italian 925 gilt silver, meaning plated with yellow gold.

The obverse and reverse of the coin were hand-drawn based on published images of an original specimen. The silver sheet used for crafting is 1 mm thick and made of Italian 925 silver. The computer-reworked design was laser-engraved onto the sheet, which was also laser-cut. Furthermore, the background was laser-etched and subsequently hand-enameled following the yellow gold plating. Six craftspeople were involved in the entire production process: the designer, the silversmith, the laser technician, the gilder, and the enameler. The pendant was then mounted via a drilled hole and bail onto a gilt silver rolo chain, also of Italian manufacture.
